Jessica (Jess) Bibby- Speech Pathologist
BSpPath Hons, M-SPA, CPSP she/her
Hi, I am Jess. I graduated as a Speech Pathologist from La Trobe University in Bundoora, Victoria, with honours. My honours project finalised a three-part study, looking at the effect of radiation treatment on the voice of people with throat cancer.
Since then, I have worked with hundreds of children and their care providers, in private clinics and public health. I have also helped clients with dysphagia (swallowing difficulty) in public hospitals and aged care homes in Western Australia. This work involved training aged care providers about dysphagia management.
Last year I started helping international travellers learn to use some English sounds, due to requests.
I have completed additional training, including:
Working with children with moderate- severe speech sound disorders with Dr. Caroline Bowen and
It takes two to talk by The Hanen Centre
“I had a really positive experience with Jess when I brought my son in for speech support. She was incredibly friendly and approachable, which made both my son and myself feel comfortable straight away. Jess has a very calm nature and was reassuring throughout the session, which helped put us both at ease. I would highly recommend Jess to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive speech therapist.”
